If one of the partners unable to use own gametes, this is no reason to abandon the hope. Even in this case, you have the chance to become parents! Our clinic offers special donations services designed specifically for patients using egg donation, sperm donation, embryo donation, or surrogacy treatment options. About 40% of the IVF cycle procedures in the clinic performed using the donations treatment option.

 

 

What cases can egg donation treatment help?

  • if you are going through premature menopause
  • if your ovaries have been affected by chemotherapy or serious illness, or
  • if you have had IVF treatment but repeated cycles have indicated poor egg quality
  • if there is a risk of passing on genetic disease.

 

 

Who can be an egg donor?

Ideally, potential egg donors should be aged between 18 to 32, with no medical or genetic conditions, be a mother who gave a birth to a child.

 

Donor Screening Requirements:

 

  • satisfactory physical condition and mental health;
  • the absence of contraindications to be an  egg donor;
  • the absence of hereditary diseases and bad habits;
  • full Medical and Family History Questionnaire;
  • blood tests (HIV, hepatitis, blood type, and syphilis);
  • urine tests (Chlamydia, Gonorrhea).

 

 

 

 

The Egg donation process

Step 1

Menstrual cycles of both recipient and donor are synchronized by use of pharmacological therapy, which allows easily and effectively regulate the cycle.

 

Step 2

Specialists of the clinic “Victoria” will conduct blood/ultrasound monitoring to determine when to collect the eggs.

 

Step 3

Ultrasound controlled procedure of the egg collection is performed.

 

 

 

Using Donor Eggs

Collected donor’s eggs and prepared sperm are fertilized in the laboratory. Resulting embryos are transferred into the uterus of recipient within 3 to 5 days after fertilization. Other viable embryos are frozen, for potential future transfer. After two weeks, a pregnancy test is carried out.
In case of severe male infertility factor, additional IVF technique – Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) may be used.

 

Egg donation treatment is applied by written consent only.

There are several options to find an egg donor:

 

  • Anonymous Donor, when you will have an access to the donor’s medical and genetic history, physical attributes, and photographs, but the donor receives no information about you.
  • Known Donor, when you have a sister, or another relative who is willing and able to be an egg donor.

 

 

Donor sperm

Sperm donation can be used if:

 

  • spouse or male partner in the relationship has no sperm of his own.  Remember that with modern ICSI technologies, most cases of male factor infertility can be treated without using donated sperm;
  • the male partner in the relationship carries a serious genetic or infectious disease;
  • you are a single woman.

 

Only pre-frozen and thawed (cryopreserved) donor’s sperm is used for IVF cycle treatment. Donor’s sperm is used in six months after donor’s repeated test.

There are several options to find the sperm donor:

  • Known Donor, when you have a sister, or another relative who is willing and able to be an egg donor.
